Here at Around Again we identify our jewelry as real sterling or gold only when we can verify they are genuine. When these items are clearly stamped as such, then you know you’re getting the real deal. DESIGNERS SPOTTED
SHOPPING TIP - Genuine Pearls How can you tell if pearls are genuine? Aside from cutting one in half, there is a method that works most of the time. Gently rub two pearls slowly together. If they rub smoothly, like glass, then they are most likely faux. If they rub gritty, like sand, then they are most likely genuine.

CLEANING TIP The chemicals present in hairspray, lotions and perfumes can damage and tarnish jewelry over time. To lengthen the life of your costume & better jewelry, make sure they are the last thing you put on after getting dressed, and the first thing you take off. Rhinestones can be washed in a solution of six parts water to one part ammonia, brushed gently with a toothbrush, and wiped dry. Avoid chemicals on pearls – they will damage over time; just gently wipe with a soft cloth to remove any skin oils or lotions. To slow your silver tarnishing, wrap it in anti-tarnish paper, place in a plastic bag, and store in a dark place. - In Style, Secrets of Style |
